An Introduction to Making Peasants into Kings
By Dr. Jay C. Powell, Founder
Better Schooling Systems
“Peasants” are people that are responding to the imperatives of their cultures. They have been dumbed down by their educational system (or lack thereof) to become vassals to the culture in which they live. They may be able to read but they don’t. They may be able to think independently but they usually rely upon what influential others tell them to think and do.
“Kings” are people that are responding to their Souls’ imperatives; to the “Kingdom within.” These are people whose talents have emerged to become gifts to others and a source for personal power. They create their own futures in concert with everyone and everything around them, recognizing and honoring the interconnectedness of all things.
If we intend to educate in a way that all peasants can become kings, that is to provide equal opportunity, we need to do something different than we are now doing. More of the same has not worked for more than 150 years and there is no good reason to expect it to work any better for the next 150. What is our alternative? That is the subject of this book.
This book, as presented in this overview of its theme, is written in an autobiographical manner, as a series of anecdotes that elaborate this theme. It is available by membership or contact
