Memberships

Better schooling Systems (BSS) is a 501(c)(3) corporation that has been established to provide the alternative scoring system it has developed to all the schools (worldwide) that have decided they need more information than right-wrong scoring of tests is able to provide.

Memberships are available for an annual tax-deductible contribution on a free-will basis. New subscribing members will receive signed copy of Dr. Powell’s new book “Making Peasants into Kings” for a donation $50.00 or more. There will be an annual renewal of membership. We provide receipts to all donors for tax purposes.

Benefits of membership

There are several benefits to becoming a member of BSS. These include:

1. Lesson Plans, support materials and reviews of commercial products by practicing teachers will be open to subscribing members.

2. Members receive peer-reviewed publication credit for lesson plans accepted and published in our Website.

3. Helping children all over the world receive a better education than is currently available.

4. Providing free publications, from time to time produced by our staff and others who have material to contribute to the Website. See Guidelines for Submission.

5. Obtaining grants and contracts to further this work, volunteering and employment opportunities will arise. It is intended that volunteers will be compensated for out of pocket expenses, in so far as the grants obtained will permit.

6. Conducting symposia and other major conferences on important educational issues and to providing discounts for members who wish to participate.

7. Developing educational programs that focus upon exploratory and problem-solving learning is an important objective, open to anyone wishing to share their skills.

8. Assisting teachers with classroom problems from BSS volunteers is a service we intend to provide to members.

9. Assistance in the classroom test preparation and scoring for members.

We are looking for contributors, referees and reviewers. Please indicate you willingness in your membership application

Institutional and corporate membership is also available on request.

1. For corporations engaged in the development of educational materials, affiliation with our corporation will give a resource for field testing materials that fit into the guidelines described in the submissions section of this site.

2. For institutional affiliates engaged is various forms of educational services, BSS provides a network of contacts that can be used to advance and support projects intended to test and disseminate effective approaches to educational delivery systems.
